Pueblo de indígenas de América del Norte de lenguas muskogeanas que viven principalmente en Oklahoma, EE.UU., aunque también en Georgia y Alabama.

Era una confederación poco rígida y cambiante formada por grupos que alguna vez ocuparon gran parte de los llanos de Georgia y Alabama, que comprendía dos grandes divisiones: los creek superiores (que vivían en los ríos Coosa y Tallapoosa) y los inferiores (que vivían en los ríos Chatahootchee y Flint). Cultivaban el maíz, los frijoles y los zapallos. Cada aldea tenía una plaza comunitaria, por lo general, con un templo, en cuyos costados se construían viviendas rectangulares. Entre sus expresiones religiosas se contaba la ceremonia del Busk (grano verde), rito anual de los primeros frutos y del nuevo fuego. En el s. XVIII se organizó una confederación creek que incluía a los natchez, yuchis, shawnee y otros, con el fin de presentar un frente unido contra sus enemigos europeos e indígenas. Sin embargo, resultó ser un fracaso, debido a que nunca lograron que todos los grupos aportaran guerreros para dar una batalla conjunta. En la guerra contra EE.UU. (1813–14) fueron derrotados y debieron ceder 9,3 millones de ha. (23 millones de acres); la mayoría de ellos fueron trasladados por la fuerza a territorio indígena (Oklahoma). Unas 40.200 personas manifestaron descender exclusivamente de los creek en el censo estadounidense de 2000.
